Arthur Douglass Hirschfelder, B.S. (1897) University of California, M.D. (1903) Johns Hopkins University. Professor of pharmacology at the University of Minnesota (1913-1942). Known for his studies of local anesthesia. Arthur Hirschfelder was born on September 29, 1879. He received his B.S. in zoology from the University of California in 1897.
